We have designed the shoulder straps so you can cross them over your back, or carry them in front and back in a "backpack style." KāhuBaby’s snug fit and supportive straps provide support for your back and shoulders without the need for a large lumbar support.

KāhuBaby has collaborated with renowned print and surface designer Jojo Coco Design to bring you a collection of four amazing Jojo Coco prints. Our design collaboration patterns are exclusive to KāhuBaby and are all limited editions.

Flocking Birds is a stunning teal background, featuring flocks of small stylized white birds in flight. Flocking Birds was inspired by nature. We combined it with a dark charcoal gray interior made of 100% organic cotton, and dark charcoal gray straps made of 100% organic cotton.

Small "nubs and irregularities" that are part of the natural cotton fibers may appear after use and washing of the Flocking Birds print. These are part of the character of the 100% organic cotton that KāhuBaby uses for this print and are not due to a manufacturing defect. 

From birth to toddlerhood

The KāhuBaby Carrier features a unique built-in drawstring mechanism, allowing you to quickly and easily adjust the width of the base to fit your child comfortably. You will use the narrowest setting for a newborn baby, gradually allowing the base to widen as the child grows.

The KāhuBaby Carrier keeps your child in an ergonomic carrying position, supporting optimal hip and spine development. The child's hips and legs will form an "M" shape, with the knees supported higher than the hips.

For babies 4 months and younger who may need extra head support, the KāhuBaby Carrier has a simple upper adjustment. This ensures that the top of the carrier sits snugly and securely around your child. The upper adjustment is built into the carrier. We find it easiest to narrow the width of the upper part of the KāhuBaby Carrier before placing your child in the carrier. Once you have adjusted it for your child, you can leave it set at that adjustment, ready for the next use.
